Porchia SMS Privacy Policy
Effective August 15, 2026 · Applies to text messages sent by the Porchia purchase-review service.
What messages we send
Porchia sends transactional SMS alerts to one trusted contact chosen by the account holder, only when the account holder pauses an online purchase for review. Each message contains the purchase amount, the website, and a secure review link.
Message frequency varies and depends entirely on how often the account holder pauses a purchase. Typically this is a few messages per month, never on a schedule, and never marketing.
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.
Your mobile number is never shared
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party. Your number is used for exactly one thing: delivering the purchase-review alerts described above.
What we store, and for how long
Each purchase review (including the trusted contact's name and phone number) is stored with a 24-hour expiry and is automatically and permanently deleted after that. There is no archive of your purchases, no profile is built about the person being protected, and nothing is sold to anyone, ever.
The website versus the service
These are two different things and we treat them differently, so here is the plain version.
The Porchia service (the browser extension, the app, and purchase reviews) does not track you. Purchase review data is deleted after 24 hours as described above. We do not run advertising or analytics inside the protection itself, and we never monetize what it sees.
This marketing website (porchia.app) does use standard advertising measurement, described next, so we can tell whether our ads reach people who need this.
Advertising and measurement on this website
We use the Meta Pixel on porchia.app. It is a small piece of code from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) that tells us when someone visits the site and when someone joins the waitlist, so we can measure whether our advertising is working.
What it collects: page views, the fact that a waitlist signup happened, your IP address, browser and device information, and cookie identifiers. What it does not collect: your email address is not sent to Meta, and nothing about anyone the service protects is involved.
Meta may use this information to show you Porchia ads later and for their own purposes as described in the Meta Privacy Policy.
How to opt out. Use your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker, turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, adjust your Meta ad preferences, or email us at support@porchia.app and we will honor any request to opt out of sharing. California residents may request that we stop sharing their personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising at that same address.
We may add or remove measurement tools as the business grows. When we do, this page changes first.
How consent works
The account holder personally asks a family member to be their trusted reviewer and, with that person's agreement, enters their number in Porchia's settings. Messages are only ever sent to that one chosen contact.
