Porchia SMS Program

Text alerts are optional. You do not have to give a phone number or agree to texts to create a Porchia account, to use any feature, or to complete any purchase. Choosing “Skip text alerts and continue” below gives you the identical service, delivered as secure review links.

How consent is collected for purchase-review text alerts. Operated by Izic Smith, sole proprietor, doing business as Porchia.

What this program is

Porchia is an automated purchase-protection service. Subscribers (family caregivers) receive a text alert when the service pauses a risky online purchase, with a secure link to review it. Transactional account notifications only. No marketing, no recurring content.

Text alerts are optional. Porchia works fully without them: every purchase review is a secure web link that families can share by email, chat, or in person. Text alerts are simply the fastest way to deliver that link. Declining texts does not limit the service in any way.

Optional: turn on text alerts

This sign-up is entirely optional. If you want review alerts by text, enter the mobile number that should receive them; that phone gets one text asking to confirm with YES, and nothing else is sent unless it does. If you prefer no texts, choose "Skip text alerts" and use shareable review links instead; the service works the same.

This checkbox covers text alerts only. It is not an agreement to any Terms of Service. For reference: SMS Privacy Policy, SMS Terms.

How the double opt-in works

  1. During account setup in the Porchia application, text alerts are offered as an optional delivery method with an explicit skip option; the service is fully usable without them (review links can be shared by email, chat, or in person). If the subscriber chooses texts, the mobile number is entered alongside express consent language and links to this page, the Privacy Policy, and Terms. Consent is never a condition of using the service, creating an account, or completing any purchase.
  2. The service then sends that number a single opt-in request:
Opt-in request (sent once) Porchia: [Name] wants to add you as a purchase reviewer. Reply YES to receive purchase-review alerts. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
  1. No alert messages are sent unless and until the recipient replies YES or START. Declining is easy: the recipient can simply ignore the text, or reply STOP, and nothing further is ever sent. Consent is recorded with a timestamp.
  2. On confirmation, the recipient receives:
Opt-in confirmation Porchia: You are now opted in to purchase-review alerts. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
