Take a screenshot of the text, email, website, or pop-up. Put it here. You'll get an answer in a few seconds.
Porchia gives a second opinion, not a guarantee. When in doubt, call the company or person back at a number you look up yourself, never one from the message.
Watch for pressure and payment. Scams rush you ("act now," "your account will be closed"), ask you to keep it secret, or want payment by gift card, wire, crypto, or a payment app. A real company will never mind if you hang up and call the number on the back of your card.
Don't type anything else into that page. Close it. If you entered a password, change it on the real site. If you shared card or bank details, call your bank using the number on the back of your card and tell them. Then report it at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
Hang up and call the number on the back of your card or on your statement. Banks will never ask you to move money to a "safe account" or read back a code they texted you.
Yes, it's free. Your screenshot is used only to give you an answer and is never stored by Porchia.
No one can. Porchia tells you the red flags it found, or that it found none. When money is involved and you're not sure, ask someone you trust before you pay.
