A second look before the money moves.
Porchia helps families catch scams before the money moves. We're a small team in Provo, Utah.
Why we built it
Scams don't target careless people. They target busy, kind, trusting people at the worst possible moment: a call that sounds like a grandson, a text about a bill, a payment that has to happen right now. By the time anyone else finds out, the money is gone.
Porchia adds one step. When a payment looks risky, it pauses so someone you trust can take a look first. You still decide. Porchia just makes sure you're not deciding alone.
Who we are
Porchia is built by a small team in Provo, Utah, led by founder Izic Smith. We make the free scam check, the scam guides, and the Porchia app and browser extension, and we post a new scam breakdown on YouTube and Instagram most days.
What we promise
- We will never ask you for money, codes, or passwords. Anyone who does is not us.
- We never sell or share your information. See our privacy policy.
- Our guides are sourced. Every scam guide links the FTC or FBI warning it's based on and shows the date we last checked it.
- No fear-bait. We explain scams so you feel ready, not scared.
